At Deane and Lostock churches we want to have a positive outlook for the autumn: to grow in our faith, hope and love even though we’re surrounded by the struggles and frustrations of lockdown! How can we do it? By meeting together online to read God’s word, share and pray with each other weekly.
As the Bible says: “Do not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10v25).
From 12th October a wide range of group leaders from both churches will be hosting groups on Zoom as we read the book of 1 Thessalonians together. It’s a letter full of the grace of Jesus and how that shapes how we live and our outlook on life.
We would love you to join us, even if you’ve never been in a group like this before. Just pick a time of week that suits you and sign up to get the details!
If you’re not sure about whether you can manage to be a part of a group for 10 weeks…
- Join in for a “taster session” – just join for the first week with no obligation to come again
- You don’t have to attend all 10 weeks – just come when you can, we’d love to have you involved
- You won’t be asked to pray out loud or do anything you find uncomfortable
- No prior knowledge of the Bible is needed – we will keep it simple and beginner-friendly!
If you’d like to join but don’t know how to use Zoom, please just contact Ben or the church office for help.
